Vegetables nutritionMany web pages offer bullet points, Wise phrases, coined concepts, ideas “carved in rock” so solid that a one-liner delivers them perfectly and we need nothing more then that – “one apple a day keeps the doctor away”…  it’s the same about any subject, as well as on vegetables nutrition. when looking for health tips and body maintenance ideas that could be applied just like that, without further understanding of the subject, it’s usually not too beneficial in real life, where the variables are countless. on the other hand, and just because of that same idea of numerous causes and effects of everything on everything, it is also impossible, or at least super-hard, to really understand a subject.

the subject reminds me the situation going on today with medical doctors. understanding there is more then 1 (or 10..) ways to address any problem, medical doctors around the world have shift the responsibility of healing from themselves to their patients. how? well, we come to a doctor seeking help for some problem or another. the doctor will listen, examine, think, hopefully come up with a pretty good idea of what he thinks is the cause of our illness, and will now need to guide us through the procedure of getting better (which usually and most commonly is based on selling us pharmaceutical drugs  instead of giving us a more balanced vegetables nutrition based diet that might actually assist us more in numerous situation. but that is another subject… ). today, the doctor is not choosing for us anymore, but introducing us with various options for us to choose!

in other words, going to the doctors would end up with him or her giving us the risks and benefits of 2 or more treatments they believe will potentially help us feel better, some actually will offer a diet change, adding fruit, vegetables or vitamins to our nutritional benefit. we have to make the decision. we get these bunch of tips, that might be nutrition tips, and from that little knowledge we must choose out next step ourselves. needless to say that the doctor is supposed to have much (!!) more knowledge on these subjects, and most of us are going to see him just because of that – he or she are trusted by us to have the answers and give it to us. we can’t see a bigger picture then they about our health, right? so they should tell us what to do, not give us the answer (wrong. but i don’t wanna get into it here as it is irrelevant for the point I’m trying to make).

what is the point i’m delivering? well, much like doctors can’t teach us medicine in a 10 minute meeting aimed at rcognizing our disease and prescribing us with the best treatment, no bullet point nutrition tip can take the spot of understanding the whole.

so, be aware, be curios, listen to our body, be attentive and loving, eat right and slowly, and many more vegetables nutrition tips for us are all good and well, but always remember that smiling in awe of the fact that knowledge is infinite and there for ungraspable as a whole is the main key for health. how is that for a bullet point? :)
