Vegetables nutrition – Milk and philosophy.
Vegetables nutrition – milk, introducing the paradox
I have already written about milk in another vegetables nutrition article in the past, yet as i have conversations about this subject with more people, i am beginning to see that the effect of understanding the logic behind something is usually not enough. Much like smokers understand smoking is bad for them, they only understand it logically, and there for can have an entire conversation with you about the dangers of smoking while holding a cigarette. Of course one might say that milk is not addictive, which is arguable, yet irrelevant to the point i am trying to pass here. My notion is that in order for a real choice to be made by some one to change his or hers diet, a different kind of understanding must take place. An inner emotional state of knowing must be present, and from that point a change can occur. If we are changing something from that point, it is not even a change per-say, and it is usually just a complete and immediate cut of the pattern that has been discovered as wrong.
Vegetables nutrition – am i making any sense??
So the thing with milk, human beings and decision making is, that we only see as far as the tip of our noses when it comes to logic. We tell ourselves that we make strategies and see for the long run, but in reality, as long as we lean on our logic, it’s only an illusion. I can show you charts and scientific studies that shows the illness that are triggered by having milk regularly, but if we are not FEELING THE DAMAGE right now, and connecting it to milk, it will usually not make any difference. You might nod, and even eagerly agree, yet the habit remains.
Our logic comes to the “rescue” of our long purchased habits, and saves the day with it’s logical sweet-talk, that “it’s o.k, don’t worry about it. you need to relax and have fun” and convincing us that the body can handle it. It’s not true! Well, to be fair, it is somewhat true. BUT, our body can handle the flew as well. Yet, the effect of the flew are so obvious and so deeply engraved in us, not only in the thinking logical mind, but in every cell of our body, our emotional memory and our collective memory, as everyone had the flew at least once. So, we will try to avoid the flew because the memories of the bad effects it has are a strong full-body experience, and even then we will cut ourselves a slack here and there, and not move ourselves away from the A/C in the office, and get the flew almost knowingly. So what i am trying to do here in vegetables nutrition is to give us different ideas and aspects of knowledge so maybe it will strike a nerve deeper then our logically thinking mind, and move us to adjust our diet for a better healthier life.
Vegetables nutrition – am i talking about milk??
Anyway, where was i? Milk. So milk does damages that we can’t see immediately. The root via the malaise it creates is harder to recognize. It is usually relatively easy for us to remember and make the connection between yesterdays warnings our body sent us – A/C goose-bumps, to today’s flew. It is much harder for us to make the connection between today’s joint pain and last night milkshake (yet most of us can see the connection of the same shake and today’s diarrhea..)..
To sum it up, all I’m trying to say is that if we take the time and try to experience the effects different things we put in our body has on us in a different way, it can make the difference in our ability to make the right decisions. If the memory, the emotional physical one, rather then the logical one, is fresh and strong, we will not even have to decide. There will be no struggle between our desire and your knowledge, as our desire to be happy and healthy are connected in many places (some say it is one and the same), and that glass of milk will not even trigger a desire. No desire, no struggle, no stomach ache, etc…
Sometimes I find it hard to manifest in words what i feel in my heart , so i hope i didn’t ruin your ice-cream today… Remember, our body can handle the flew, so it could handle a milkshake here and there. it’s all a matter of balance.
hope i made sense in the vegetables nutrition, so stay healthy!
