Hi again! Now i know that i gave mentioned pesticides, as well as organic food before in different vegetables nutrition posts, but never have i deeply explored it with you. It is fascinating subject for me, and i can write (and speak) about it endlessly, so i will try to focus on one layer only. As i often say in my articles, “There is so much more to the world of – whatever-subject-we-are-talking-about, but this information should be enough for now”. Well, it was enough, but now we are ready for more!

Vegetables nutrition – why Eat ONLY Organic vegetables

Organic is not so much about getting something extra, but more about not getting the un-wanted extras on and in our vegetables, and our body. The meaning of organic fruits and vegetables is that they were grown without the use of pesticides at all, and from non-genetically engineered seeds. So what you are getting is a natural vegetable, which is the best produce the farmer was able to grow based on his land, skills and luck. By eating these, we  get the right vitamins, minerals and fibers into our system. By eating “regular” vegetables, we get pesticides into our system. Pesticides, according to Wikipedia, “is any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating any pest”. What it means for us on the direct level, and I’m not even mentioning environmental aspects at all, is different health hazards. So even if we are following the concepts I’m trying to pass here in vegetables nutrition, we might still be eating the wrong food. Pesticides damage as known today leads to such a wide spectrum of illness, that i don’t even know where to begin. If it’s ADHD/ADD, sleeping disorders, or cancer, the dangers are just too many. The thing is that washing our fruits and vegetables just won’t do it. These materials go into the flesh of the food, and the only way to avoid it is not eating it.

It’s funny the way we got it all upside down. Everything grows naturally in the great outdoors. Each fruit and vegetable has its season, and its best habitat and conditions, and it grows according to natures rules. Yet, in our society – what is referred to as “REGULAR” vegetables, or simply – VEGETABLES, is the pesticides-full genetically modified mutants that resemble the original nature made food, but are just not it. When most of us say vegetables, we mean these. An entire new movement for Organic Vegetables had to pop-up, and it had to take the second name, “Organic”, ’cause vegetables was taken by the imitation.

It reminds me of the common mistake we make when we call “diet” a thing we do to lose weight, while a diet is actually our nutrition habits, in general. It might seem a minor unimportant lingual error that means nothing. But, there is a huge industry of misconceptions behind that honest mistake, and it is costing us our health.

If there is anything i want you to leave with from reading this post, is eat organic whenever you can. The movement is big enough now that the price different dose not make such a big deal, and your health is priceless!
