A part of any good and healthy vegetables nutrition diet is green vegetables, and for a few interesting reasons.
First of all, let’s have a quick look at Leafy-greens. Leafy-greens, usually referred to simply as – “Greens”, are an amazingly healthy food, and are typically super high in protein-per-calorie rate, dietary fiber, calcium and iron. For example - we can get 222% of our “Recommended daily intake” of Vitamin C by eating a 100 grams of Parsley (Recommended in a smoothie!).
The subject of green leafs will be thoroughly discussed in another post, so hold your horses, as it deserves more attention.

Another dark green vegetable is the Broccoli. Much like Parsley, it is also a great natural Vitamin C source, much greater then an orange, for example, and contains much less calories, while providing us with a fair amount of Omega 3, a substance we will discuss in the future. Broccoli, Being a proud member of the Cruciferous family, Along side Cabbage, Cauliflower, Horseradish and more, is ranked high on the vegetables food pyramid with many other qualities shared by this wonderful family. Not only does it taste great, but when including it or other members of its family in our vegetables nutrition we are giving our body a boost of anti-carcinogenics, and thus helping our body in the ever lasting war against cancer cells! Yes. Broccoli. Anti-cancer!

Putting matter in our body is one thing. Absorbing it into our body, well, that’s a whole different story. Broccoli, with It’s high Calcium rate, along side the vitamin C, which is a very much needed vitamin when it comes to the subject of absorbing Calcium, makes it a great source of bone-building material. The same vitamin will help us absorb the Iron, and will boost our immune system.
